Affiliate Disclosure
Small Plot Pantry is supported by its readers. Some of the links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, the merchant may pay me a commission. It costs you nothing extra, and the price you pay is the same.
How it affects what I write
- I decide what to recommend before I think about commissions. A product that pays more doesn't get a better review.
- I'll tell you when I own or have used a product, and when I haven't. I won't pretend to have first-hand experience I don't have.
- I will include downsides and say when you don't need to buy something.
- Food-safety guidance is never influenced by affiliate relationships. It comes from USDA/NCHFP and university Extension sources.
How you can tell
Every article that contains affiliate links shows a short disclosure at the very top, before
the first link. Affiliate links are also tagged rel="sponsored" so search engines
know they're commercial. Links labeled as a maker's page (for example, "See Presto's page for this model") go to the manufacturer's own site, are not affiliate links, and earn me nothing.
Programs
I haven't been approved into any specific affiliate program yet. This section will name each program once it is active, and affiliate links only go live after that program has approved the site.
Who writes this site, and how AI is used
"Wes Alder" is a pen name for a home gardener and home canner. AI tools help with research and drafting, and the articles are reviewed and edited by me before they are published. Where an article recommends gear I haven't used, it says so and bases the pick on the makers' specs and USDA/NCHFP guidance, not on first-hand experience.
Reviews and testimonials
I don't publish fake reviews or invented customer testimonials. Quotes or experiences on this site are real and attributed.
